Waihi boy found safe and well

Police searching for a missing Waihi teenager are crediting the public's response to media coverage as playing a major part in their locating the boy today.

Detective Simon Everson said the boy had been last seen 12 days ago in Hamilton but was today found safe and well in Waihi.

"We'd just like to acknowledge the public's assistance in bringing this matter to a successful conclusion," he said.
