Woman faces murder charge after Remuera death

Auckland City Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 53 year old woman in Remuera, who died on the 26th of March 2010.

A 24 year old Auckland woman was arrested for assaulting the deceased on the night of her death. The same woman now faces a more serious charge of Murder.

Given that the matter is now before the court, Police cannot make further media comment about the allegations the woman faces.

An interim court order also prohibits publishing the name of the deceased and her relationship to the person now charged with Murder.
