Wellington Taxi driver crashes into McDonalds

A taxi drove into the dining area of a McDonalds restaurant in Wellington overnight seriously injuring a 49 year old man.

The accident caused serious damage to the restaurant located at Roadmaster on Taranaki St in Wellington.

Emergency services attended the accident at 2.20am this morning. The injured man was taken to hospital after being trapped for a short time when the counter area fell on his leg.

Wellington Police are investigating the cause of the accident
