A Royal New Zealand Air Force Iroquois helicopter will thunder over central North Island high schools next week during an Air Force careers visit to the area.

The helicopter will land at high schools in Taupo, Cambridge, Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua between Monday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 19.

Auckland recruiting manager Flight Lieutenant Graham Burnnand said the visits would include presentations on Air Force life.

“We want to raise awareness of what the Air Force does and the variety of careers we offer. It’s also a rare and exciting opportunity for the students see the Iroquois up close and interact with Air Force personnel.”

A similar recruiting visit took place last year when an RNZAF Iroquois visited schools in the Bay of Plenty and Tauranga areas.
