Great Barrier Incident - Man Appears In Court

A 21 year old unemployed man has appeared in the Auckland District Court
this afternoon on four serious charges after an incident in which a 19 year
old female was allegedly abducted on Great Barrier Island.

Nathan Boulter entered no plea when he appeared on these serious charges:

Aggravated Burglary,
Aggravated Wounding,
Kidnapping,
Wounding with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm,

The maximum penalty for each of these offences is 14 years imprisonment.

Boulter has been remanded in custody for a further appearance in the
Auckland District Court on Monday 14 February 2011.
