Lower Hutt Police locate missing 22 year old Karl Baars

Missing 22 year-old Karl Baars has been found alive and well in Upper Hutt earlier this morning.

Mr Baars was missing since Tuesday 1 February 2011 and Police had held grave concerns for his safety.

Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Borrell, officer in charge of the Lower Hutt CIB says Mr Baars was found around 7am at an Upper Hutt address.

"Police believe Mr Baars had been the subject of physical threats and was hiding out as a result. His family and Police are relieved to have located Mr Baars safe and well and thank the public and the media for their assistance in this inquiry".
