Truck Roll-over - Diversions - SH3

SH3 south of Piopio has been closed as emergency services deal with a truck roll-over between Mahoenui and Paemako.

A truck and trailer unit rolled at about 8.00am and a large diesel fuel leak resulted. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Diversions are in place at the intersection of SH3 and Totoroa Rd to the south and onto Tui Street, in Piopio, to the north.

Diversions are expected to remain in place for at least the next four hours.

Motorists are advised to factor in longer travel times if travelling to or from Taranaki and are asked to take care on the narrower roads of the diversion route.
