A 44 year old man will appear in Court today charged in relation to alleged misappropriation of funds at Saint Patrick's College in Wellington.

The man was arrested earlier this week and faces eight representative charges of dishonestly accessing a computer and one representative charge of money laundering. The charges cover a period from September 2006 to March 2011.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Jason Perry of the Wellington CIB says, "A full and thorough investigation has been carried out over the past few months, after Police received a complaint earlier this year."

The 44 year old Wellington man is alleged to have stolen over $126,000 worth of Saint Patrick's funds.

He will be appearing in the Wellington District Court later today.
