Export Quality Meats Now Available Online to South Island Cooks

Canterbury based is now making it possible for home cooks to conveniently access the best quality New Zealand beef, lamb and small goods for their special occasions, dinner parties and events.

Chilled gourmet meat cuts are carefully selected, packaged and couriered to customers’ doors same day or next day, depending on location around the South Island.

My Butcher eCommerce manager, Claire Milligan says the company is focusing on the South Island initially, but hopes to expand into the North Island once the business is more established.

“We believe there is demand from home cooks for high quality meats, particularly with the inspiration of programmes like Master Chef, which highlight great produce and stunning dishes, making them more accessible for home cooks.

“The market has seen a surge in demand inspired by these cooking shows, and we are happy to respond.”

My Butcher makes chilled meat cuts and some frozen meat products from New Zealand’s largest exporter of beef and lamb available to domestic consumers, ensuring access to some of the country’s best, homegrown product.

The company is supported by well-known chefs including Lou Bentley from the Akaroa Cooking School who is a passionate advocate for their product range and uses them in her gourmet cooking classes.

Customers can buy through the online butchery, follow the company’s Facebook page and subscribe to their newsletter for regular weekly specials. Recipes are regularly added to the My Butcher blog and the company encourages customers to contribute their own favourites.
