There has been a blow-out of a water main on James Street, Inglewood, which has resulted in dirty water being supplied to businesses and homes in the CBD area.
About 800 people are affected.
NPDC will be supplying people with drinking water today, via tanker. The tanker will be located in the railway yard next to Moa Street, and will be manned around the clock so that residents have assistance to fill their water containers.
Contractors are also working to replace the broken main.
We will update the public on the situation as more information comes to hand.
