Update re earlier shooting incident

This is an updated media release In relation to the shooting earlier today in Kapiti.

Two males have been arrested after Armed Offenders Squad staff executed search warrants on an address in Paraparaumu and one in Maungaraki.

Police have recovered a 303 riffle that they believe was used in this mornings shooting.

Both men have been charged with Discharging a Firearm with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm and have been held in custody to appear in the

Porirua District Court on Saturday at 9.00am. Police have opposed bail.
