The search is almost over for one of New Zealand’s most well-known young adventurers – the MILKYBAR Kid – as public voting closes tonight.

59 children were shortlisted from approximately 1500 entries received (48 from online entries and 11 from in-store auditions), and following casting calls in Auckland and Wellington, the Top Ten Finalists were selected.

They are: Dominic Burrows (8) of Invercargill, Asher Quin (9) of Dunedin, Sam Kirby (7) of Christchurch, Natalie Olson (8) of Wellington, Hinetaapora Short (8) of Rotorua, Madison Hunter (8) of Auckland, Astaria Te Aukura (7) of Auckland, Benjamin Clark (7) of Auckland, Eloise Greenwood (9) of Auckland, and Samyah Powell (9) of Whangarei.

The chosen child will star in the new MILKYBAR television commercial in 2011.

The search was for a child between 7 and 10 years old that possesses a certain star quality.
