Vink wins Coffee Culture Le Race in impressive fashion

Canterbury — Michael Vink had the perfect send off for his overseas campaign with BikeNZ men's track endurance squad when he rode away from the field to win Le Race in two hours and thirty one minutes today. Vink leaves for Belgium on Tuesday and showed he is in good form sitting a fast pace up the early climb through the Christchurch suburb of Cashmere and then dominated the final 40 kilometres of racing dropping breakaway companion James Early to win the tough 100 kilometre event for the second time.

Warmup Pushbikes Cycling Team wins Canterbury Team Time Trial

Canterbury — The Warmup Pushbikes Cycling Team won the Masters 25 kilometre Canterbury Team Time Trial event on Saturday.  The Warmup Pushbikes Black Team of John McKenzie, Lee Johnstone, David Roche and Stephen Mark won in a time of 33 minutes and 20 seconds, beating the Velocity 1 team of Nigel Pink, Ben Hillery, Dave Sullivan and Chris Brooks by 35 seconds.

The Warmup Pushbikes Cycling Team won the Masters 25 kilometre Canterbury Team Time Trial event on Saturday.

Horgan wins tour of Canterbury

Canterbury — Sam Horgan (SUBWAY® Pro Cycling) won the A grade Silvester Motor Company Tour of Canterbury as part of his final preparation for this week's Oceania Road Championships being held in Queenstown.

Sam Horgan from the SUBWAY® Pro Cycling team won category one of the R & R Tour de Taieri near Dunedin at the weekend.
