Wellington City — Cutting edge advancements in shallow survey techniques will be the focus for over 200 international hydrographic and marine charting experts and other scientists when they gather in Wellington next week (20-24 February) for the 6th International Shallow Survey Conference - the first time this event has been held in New Zealand.

Kayakers warned after 11 rescued in 36 hours

Wellington — Wellington Maritime Police are urging all those contemplating adventures in kayaks this holiday to pay particular attention to the weather and know the limitations of themselves and their craft, after 11 kayakers within a 36 hour period found themselves in situations beyond their skills and capabilities of their craft due to strong winds in and around Wellington.

Maharey launching 3000th robot of the sea
