Carterton council encourages solar water heating

Waikato — Government Spokesperson on Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Jeanette Fitzsimons, has congratulated Carterton District Council for its initiative to encourage solar water heating by waiving building consent fees, during a visit to the Wairarapa today.

Hamilton — Hamilton City Council is being recognised for being one of only three councils nationwide to respond to central Government’s call to make it easier for homeowners to adopt energy efficient heating in their homes through the waiver of consent fees.
