Wanganui back world jet sprint series

Wairarapa — Counting down to the two-round Wanganui.com Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) jet sprint World Series starting on 11 February in the Wairarapa, Wanganui.com have picked up naming rights sponsorship as part of a campaign to showcase their region’s business and recreation talents and their lifestyle and holiday offerings.

Wanganui's Leighton and Kellie Minnell carry the weight of the region on their shoulders as part of a campaign to promote the Wanganui.com World Series jet sprints that begins on 11 February.

World title warm-up for jet sprinters

Featherston — Marking the half-way point in the 2012 Jetpro Jetsprint Championship, this weekend's 22 January third round being held at Featherston's Tauherinikau race course is also a precursor to the first round of the 2012 World Series.

Whangarei's Denis and Steve Crene hold a three point advantage in the Jetpro Lites category heading to Sunday's third round of the 2012 season being contested near Featherston in the Wairarapa. Leading the Suzuki Superboat category of the 2012 Jetpro Jetsprint Championship, Wanganui's Leighton and Kellie Minnell are out to extend their back-to-back wins at Featherston on Sunday.
