Minister To Recommend Changes To Trade Wastes Bylaw

Auckland — Minister of Local Government Hon Rodney Hide today announced his intention to clarify the application of the Auckland Regional Council Trades Waste Bylaw to ensure certainty for those in the Auckland wastewater industry before the integration of Auckland's wastewater services into a single system on November 1 2010.

Government response to Auckland Governance

Auckland — The Government’s response provides finality in that change will occur and quickly, it provides fairer representation and clarity on service delivery, and removes some of the “rules for Auckland but not for the rest of NZ” that was suggested in the Royal Commission version, says Michael Barnett, Chief Executive of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce.
